Paul Kensett
Head of Training and Mentoring
Diploma in Coaching Excellence

Having spent seventeen years carving out a successful career in the holiday industry and sending other people on exotic holidays to various far-flung places around the globe, I knew it was time for a change!

My journey in to personal development began as a way out of the 9-5 life. I was bored and felt stuck. I had always been open to new ideas and I wanted to do better for myself and bring alive my passion for helping others.

I was deeply curious about how people behave and why they get the results that they do in their lives (either positive or negative) based on how their perceptions of themselves and others.

I had also studied the body and mind connection as a dancer and later a choreographer for many years and I was fascinated with physiology and how the physical can be affected by our thoughts.

My studies led me to Neurolinguistic Programming and Advanced Behavioural Coaching along with training in various therapies and personal development approaches.

From this new world of possibilities, I found my true passion and love for helping others to help themselves to create success and unlock their full potential.

As Head of Training and Mentoring at the Smart School, I train and support the coaching students from the very first weekend of training right through to qualification.  I love to see our students grow and develop enduring confidence as coaches, and indeed about themselves as people.

I am constantly enthralled to see the connections that are created on the training weekends, the sense of community with others on the journey and the real transformation that occurs naturally throughout the qualification from start to finish.

I believe we all have a right to learn and share our experiences with others and gain mutual support where we need it. This is done with fun and a lightness that creates amazing results for the students and I love every minute of the journey.
