The course should take around 8 to 12 months to complete. However, there is no set end time and you may take as long as you need to complete it.

The course is of variable duration because it partly depends on how long it takes each student to complete his or her real-buisness coaching outside of the training weekends. We keep this open as we appreciate that our students are often full time employed or running their own business and so need to manage the training to suit their needs.

Absolutely! All of our courses are geared towards people who are either working full time, parenting full time or running their own business. Our aim is to ensure you can complete the course and become an expert without creating upheaval and unrealistic burdens on you. That’s why the training takes place at the weekend to avoid disrupting your working week and the support takes place online recognising that not everyone has the time to attend live events in the evenings.

At the moment all of our courses take place at the weekend as this means our students do not need to disrupt their working week. We appreciate that some people work at weekends or have commitments then but we have found that for the majority of people weekends are the best time to avoid taking annual leave to train with us.

The course is for people who want to work with small business owners, sole traders and self-employed professionals to help them increase their business, create a more effective business system and love what they’re doing. You must have a genuine interest in small business and its major concerns such as marketing, systems, sales, operations and of course the vision and mission of the business owner. The course is aimed very much at people who want to work at a close level with local businesses to create growth and success and much of the training will be focused on gaining very practical results.

Unlike most coaching courses which offer skills which create self-discovery and decision for the client around any aspect of life, Rapid Results Business Coaching is specifically tailored to the needs of small business owners. As a Rapid Results Business Coach you will gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to help small business owners achieve real growth through improved marketing, enhanced systems and clearer control of cashflow and their business numbers. The course enables you to blend expert advice for specific outcomes with a broader coaching agenda to allow your client to recapture their vision and passion for their business. As a small business coaching course, this is unique in giving you step by steps skills which you will put to practice with real clients to get real results. This ensures you gain the confidence to work with business owners during and after qualification. Finally, the course offers fully system for creating your own professional small business coaching practice that is profitable, rewarding and makes a real difference to your life and the lives and businesses of the people you work with.

Like many coaching schools, we used to teach the classic GROW model and it has its uses for simple performance coaching. But coaching as a profession has moved on in the 10 years since GROW was first formulated and we can now be far more sophisticated in how we work with clients. For us, GROW is outdated and more effective coaching can be had from a deeper understanding of the client’s model of the world.

Imagine learning to drive from a book and passing a written test. Then you take a real car out onto a real road! That would clearly be crazy and yet this happens a lot in coach training! For us, it’s important you have real experience and so as part of the course you will complete two full business case studies amounting to around 30 hours of business coaching. By coaching real-life clients you will gain the experience and confidence needed to continue as a coach after you qualify. Coaching is a practical skill and if you only learn it as theory you will almost certainly not be as effective as you could be and you will probably never use the skills in practice as you won’t have that foundation of having done it.

We will explain precisely how to secure your business coaching case studies in advance of your training. You will soon discover that many small business owners will be anxious for your help! However, if you struggle to find a case study business to work with, we will try to help you find one through our networks.

The mentoring supports you with the practical coaching work you undertake with your small business clients. Mentoring takes place monthly and allows you to discuss your client work in detail exploring where you have challenges as well as what is working well for you. It also allows you to explore any challenges in general around qualifying on the programme.

The Rapid Results Smart Zone is an online members area with detailed videos on step by step processes as well as a videos of the live training for you to access whenever you want.

There is some written work on this course. You will be expected to write up your two business case studies, complete a press release and submit an article for review to The Business Coach Journal.

To qualify you need to attend all six weekends of live training, complete your two business case studies and complete the written work.

We ensure that we keep our groups small enough that the trainer can have close engagement with each member of the group to ensure you’re on track and getting what you need from the training. On our Rapid Results Business Coaching course, our groups are never larger than 16 people.

The Coaching Excellence course is 48 hours of live training. The is comprised of 78 hours of live training. The total study time is around 180 hours including completion of the case study coaching, reflective learning, online videos, mentoring and webinars.
