The NLP model

7 Elements Model

The NLP Practitioner course covers the full curriculum of NLP in a way which
ensures the skills are developed with lasting confidence.

Our 7 Elements of NLP model offers a structured way of looking at what you’ll learn.

We split the course in these seven elements each of which are taught throughout
the course rather than sequentially.

The 7 Elements

Foundations: You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the theory and principles behind NLP. This is not academic theory that once learned is forgotten. I t will shape the way you
practice NLP and live your life, acting as guide to your understanding of yourself and other people. Content covered here includes NLP Presuppositions, Prime Directives, Logical Levels, Communication Model and more.
Language and communication: A vital component of NLP is your ability to work artfully
with language. You will master language and the way it is used so that you can affect powerful change through your use of words alone. Content covered here includes Linguistic Presuppositions, Milton Model for trance, Meta Model for precision, Hierarchy of Ideas, Reframing, Predicates, and much more.
Hypnosis and trance: NLP works with the unconscious in two ways. Firstly by making the unconscious conscious and secondly by talking straight to the unconscious mind. Hypnosis and trance are critical skills for talking directly with the unconscious and you will become skilled in both to bring about powerful change. Content covered here includes induction, unconscious healing, metaphors, the language of trance and more.
Mind-body connection: A core principle of NLP is the mind-body connection and this shows itself in a number of key skills. You will explore
this connection in detail to master how you and your clients can harness it for rapid change and holistic health. Content covered here includes sensory acuity, rapport and body language, anchoring, chained anchors, aversion technique, changing physiology, eye patterns, healthy mind, healthy body and more.
Interventions: NLP is well known for its powerful change techniques and you will learn all of the well known techniques as well as some more specialist techniques rarely taught. Not only do these interventions produce a powerful impact that lasts but the change itself takes place at a deep level, in the unconscious mind. Content covered here includes Submodalities, Swish Pattern, Parts Integration, Phobia Cure, Like To Dislike,
Perceptual Positions, Personal History, using time streams to easily change limiting beliefs and old emotions and much more.
Strategies and patterns: The word programming in NLP refers to the idea that from the day we’re born we are programmed by our experiences and environment to act in certain ways which become habits and strategies. Y ou will discover how to unlock these strategies to change patterns of behaviour that seem permanent and fixed. You’ll also learn how to fulfil someone’s strategies so that you can form positive relationships in life, business and others area.
Unfolding futures: Finally NLP is all about creating more empowered, positive futures and you will learn how to build a compelling vision of the future which moves people towards action, passion and joy. You will learn the secrets that turn a goal into a vision and bring it to life with passion and determination. Content covered here includes well-formed outcomes, future pacing, time streaming outcomes and more.

    Who is the Diploma for?

The Diploma in Coaching Excellence is for people who want to train to become a life coach, a performance coach within an organisation or an executive coach.

We particularly attract two kinds of people. We find we are highly sought after by people who want to become independent, self-employed coaches who build their own practice. That’s because we pay a lot of attention to what each coach wants to do with their course after they qualify and we provide the forum and workshops to explore issues like discovering your niche, learning how to market what you do and also looking at other ways to help your target market.

But we also attract HR managers and learning and development professionals who want to learn advanced coaching skills to use within the workplace. In this case, it's the depth of the learning and the formal qualification that makes it so attractive.

What kind of qualities do you need?

This course is for you if you want to become truly excellent at coaching. In other words, it’s not just about getting a certificate – it’s about getting good!

And that means being prepared to put the time into coaching outside of the training weekends, reflect on your practice and engage in the supervision to improve continuously. The course is fun and inspirational but you need to want to learn, to challenge yourself and to take the action needed to become exceptional as a coach.

It’s about finding the passion that makes this whole process make sense, so we’re looking for people who really care about what it means to them to become a coach and to make a difference with what they do.

We also provide a real sense of community and a place for likeminded people to share their coaching journey so it’s important to be happy to mix and bond with your fellow coaches.

Overall we attract positive, determined people who want the coaching course to make a difference in some way to their lives and are enthused about the journey.

    How is the course different?

There are plenty of coaching courses out there. So what’s makes ours different?

We can sum up the difference in three phrases: integrative coaching, real qualification, highly practical.

Firstly, the diploma teaches the latest developments in coaching which have emerged from coaching psychology and fuses a range of styles into the integrative framework we call the 6Cs. You will learn coaching skills that few other schools teach. Time and again this has been highlighted by our coaches as one of the most attractive elements of the school when they joined. Ultimately, it’s one of the things that will turn you into an exceptional coach.

Our course offers a real qualification because although we teach the skills and provide the support, the certificate and record of success is awarded by a UK awarding body, the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning – that’s still pretty rare in the coaching world.

Finally, our course is all about how you take what you learn and apply it in the real world. We teach some highly specialised coaching knowledge but we always boil it down to “what do you do with it?” as ultimately this is what’s important.
