FAQs

-
Can I manage the training while still working full time?
-
Absolutely! All of our courses are geared towards people who are either working full time, parenting full time or run their own business. Our aim is to ensure you can complete the course and become an expert in your chosen area of coaching or NLP without creating upheaval and unrealistic burdens on you. That’s why the training takes place at the weekend to avoid disrupting your working week and the support takes place online recognising that not everyone has the time to attend live events in the evenings.
-
How big are the training groups?
-
All of our training is done in small groups so that we can offer close attention and focused learning around the needs of the individuals. The group sizes vary for each course and more information on the specific courses can be found on their dedicated FAQ page. However, the largest group has no more than 24 people and some groups have as few as 8

Do I get support during the training?
-
Yes, absolutely! It’s really important to us that we help you become an expert in what you do and we believe this requires support. We offer a number of support structures to ensure you maintain motivation, confidence and learning throughout your chosen course. We also ensure that even after the course is over you stay connected to the community and can attend online webinars for life.
-
Will the course content and structure help me with my own personal development goals?
-
Yes. We find that one of the first things to change for someone when they train with us is their self-perception and ability to manage their own life and aspirations. Our students often undergo transformational change around what they want and how they are living their lives. And whilst that is not our primary objective, we believe it’s a core and important element of what all of our courses offer. Our number one aim is to develop the skills to operate at a professional level but a natural benefit of this is the natural changes you make in your own life.

Can I make a career for business from this?
-
Yes is the simple answer. The coaching and NLP industry is vibrant and growing. They are now highly recognised as methods to increase performance and create personal growth but inside and outside of organisations. Coaches operate full time within organisations and many coaches and NLP practitioners set up rewarding private practices which support them as a full time business. But, of course, no career and no business just happens by chance. There is a wealth of opportunities for you to practise coaching either in the workplace or as a business and you need to take consistent action to make sure this happens. In the case of creating a private practice, that means learning how to promote yourself and make sure people know what you do and how you help. This has long been a missing piece in the coach training industry and so we created a complete online course on how to do this which we include as standard with all our programmes..
-
How do I stay connected with other students?
-
It’s always been an important part of how we work as a school that we nurture a vibrant community of coaches and practitioners. We do this both through our online community, the members’ area and through live meetings where students can socialise. By providing this important community structure you can share ideas, support each other and gain a sense of belonging to something with shared values, experience and aspirations.
-
How many students go on to become coaches or practitioners?
-
This is a hard question to answer, as it is often not the outcome someone joins us for. Many people join to develop their chosen skill to add to their existing job and of course will certainly go on to do this. Others join for personal development without the desire to become a full time coach or practitioner. Those who do join to become a full time coach or practitioner are given every support through our online Smart Minds business course and the ongoing community and we have many wonderful examples of businesses which have sprung up thanks to the training we have given.
-
Will you help me find clients to coach?
-
Very few people ever struggle to find practice clients to complete their course work. Where our students struggle to find clients we generally find way to help on an individual basis. We also have a very active community online in which we have a flow of clients being offered for practice work. However, we don’t formally offer help with finding clients as we wouldn’t be able to guarantee finding so many practice clients if all our students requested help.

How long does it normally take?
