Dynamic Youth Coaching

Duration and Structure

Duration

The live training on the course is spread over five months however there is no fixed time by which you need to qualify.

We believe it’s important that you take as long as you need to gain the skills and confidence you need.

As a guide, however, a typical time for completing the course is around six months including completing all the 30 youth coaching hours or 50 youth coaching hours wher group work is included.

Structure

The live group training is structured around five modules taken one month apart.  This allows you the time to absorb the new skills and practise them with young people outside of the training weekends.  We believe this is a critical element to your success and confidence as a youth coach.

Between the weekend training, you will work with young people in groups or one-to-one in a variety of settings that interest you and you'll be supported on this practice through group mentoring calls and forum.

You will also have access to many hours of online video learning which backs up and reinforces the live training.

All of the live training takes place in central London at weekends from 10.00am until 5.30pm.

The five modules are:

  • Core Youth Coaching Skills
  • The Dynamic Youth Coaching Model
  • Harnessing the Power of Groups
  • Creativity and Engagement in Youth Coaching
  • Empowering for Self-Management
