Diploma in Coaching Excellence
StructureOur diploma is built to be flexible to needs of the people who train with us. We recognise that we all have busy lives and other commitments and our course allows for you to fit to a schedule that sits you.
Below, we have laid out the structure, duration and elements of the course and these are described in more details on some of the other pages of this section.
DurationThe course is not a fixed duration and you can take as long as you need to complete it. However, a typical time for completing the course is around six months including completing the 30 hours of real-life coaching and the final assessment.
StructureThe live group training is structured around 4 modules taken at least one month apart to give time to use the skills learned on each.
Most people will take all four modules within four or five months. However, this is flexible and we have had people join us on Foundations then take a long break between courses.
The modules are taught at weekends from 10.00am until 5.30pm.
The four modules are:
- Foundations
- Hearts and Minds
- Expressions
- Connections
For further information on what you learn in each, check the Content page in this section.
SupportTo ensure you progress successfully through the course, you also receive a package of support which includes:
- Twice monthly group mentoring on your client practice
- Monthly evening Coach Learning Webinar
- The Smart Zone: our online video learning site
- A vibrant, interactive online community
- Comprehensive manual
- All-you-need templates, contracts, records etc
For further information on what the support, check the Support page in this section.
Coaching hoursAs part of the qualification, you will complete 30 hours of real-life coaching outside of the training weekends.
You receive mentoring around this to ensure you are on track and to answer any queries you may have about your work.
Final assessmentThe final assessment is based on the submission of a recorded coaching session to the Head of Training and Mentoring for which you will receive feedback and your qualification. Should you not pass, you will be able to work on the areas for development and resubmit a session for assessment after two months. There is no limitation on this.
Our aim is to ensure everyone who trains with us becomes an exceptional coach and the training, support, feedback and practice are key to achieving this.
