I’m Nick Bolton, founder of the Smart School of Coaching and I have a confession.
Rapid Results Business Coaching was an accident.
It was the result of a chance find on a speculative search for a half-needed service.
As a business owner of 12 years and having just moved to a new town, I was looking for a business networking group.
Searching online, I found a one that looked pretty active and in that group I saw the name and website address of a local bookkeeper. Now, I hadn’t been consciously looking for a new bookkeeper but it made sense to make contact as I needed one, he was nearby and seemed fine.
And that’s where it all started.
You see the bookkeeper was clearly good at what he did as I discovered when I met him but I might never have met him at all. His contact page on his site didn’t function, his site gave little information and it wasn’t clear at all how I could take the next step. But I persevered and managed to connect and meet him.
Over the course of our 30 minute chat, I realised that, as much as I didn’t know about bookkeeping, he didn’t know anything about marketing and he was struggling to get clients. And whilst I could hire him for what I needed, there wasn’t anyone obviously reaching out to someone like him. Someone without a huge marketing budget, or an expansive social media wallet. Someone who wasn’t looking for a “rebrand” or an end-to-end business plan.
What this guy needed was simple solutions, delivered fast to get great results and to know he could sit down with a person and talk about his needs. He needed a REAL local small business coach.
And sadly they’re few and far between.
And so was born Rapid Results Business Coaching, a division of the Smart School which trains, establishes and supports local business coaches with real tactical, strategic know how and a passion to make a difference.
This blog is dedicated to small business owners, the self-employed, solopreneurs and all those the big boys forget about.
My mission: to stop needless failures and loss of livelihood and support people to achieve their business dreams with a profitable, enjoyable and sustainable business through the sharing of information and the creation of local coaches.
