Claim your OWN fantastic

OpinionsI was listening to someone I know speak recently about a conference that they were going to run by an amazing person.
This person was going to be talking about how to change your life, how to create success and also how to be fantastic.

This inspired me to write my ideas of being fantastic.

I hear so many people approach their lives in a way of when I achieve …x…..I can become ….y…..
They put limitations on their potential based on an idea that I cant become ……… until I have …..

Whether that be the perfect job, the loving relationship, affluence, a fitter body, a stimulated and intelligent mind and so much more.

What struck me and when I say struck I had a a huge lightbulb moment of clarity that if people are always looking at the next best thing what are they not celebrating right now.

I agree that there are people who have a massive influence in self help fields, who people see as gurus, leaders and people of amazing depth of knowledge and help people in many ways.

What I would like to bring up is the idea of avoidance of being fantastic in your own life by looking outside of yourself and turning to others to say “You are great”

Why do you think your are not great as you are, right now, in the moment?
If you believed you were what could change?, but …and here is the crux of the point I am trying to make…what stops you?

I hear through my own work people coming up with life stories (that they have written and are telling themselves) as to why they cant live life they want!

I do not use the word stories lightly, the negative chatter, the self created drama, the refusal to take responsibility, and the excuse of not acting.

Then people will “claim” my life is not what is needs to be!. The end result is that of being a victim. Guess what – you were not meant to be unhappy.

I would like to suggest that you are getting in your own way..

Its almost like having a sea view in a swanky hotel and then looking out of the window through wooden shutters.  You can only see half of the picture and you keep yourself locked in chaos and drama.

You are looking through the world through a smoke screen.

We come into the world with an openness to experience, willingness to learn but also an innocence and light that through our own distortions of experience can become dimmer or extinguished.

It is time to reclaim that light, accept that the past has gone and learn from it..start to move forward with a new vigour for life and curiosity for the world, open your eyes and right now claim your OWN fantastic.
